Instagram's Bizarre Vendetta Against Food Festival's Pictures

IT'S one of the most popular uses for Instagram - posting pretty photos of food. But was this Instagram feed just too mouth-watering for the social network?

The kind of image posted by on the @shfoodwine Instagram feed:

Instagram appears to have a bizarre vendetta against the country NSW Southern Highlands Food & Wine Festival, twice deleting its popular food-focused account without explanation.

Upset organisers had spent more than six months building an 1000-strong following on the photo app by uploading pictures of gourmet meals and fresh produce.

But last month the social network deleted their account for "terms of service violations". When confused organisers re-registered the account, Instagram deleted it again.

"I couldn't believe it. I thought there must have been something wrong. And when we re-registered - to have that deleted as well (is ridiculous)," winemaker Jeff Aston, from Bowral NSW, told news.com.au.

Images posted on the account included pictures of meals, local markets, food and wine producers and farm animals such as cattle.

"This must be one of the photos Instagram finds offensive," Mr Aston said.
Comments posted to Instagram demanding an explanation were also deleted, Mr Aston said. "They just deleted those comments as well".

This is not the first time the social network have deleted the accounts of Australian businesses without warning.

In June, Instagram disabled the account of diet tea business SkinnyMeTea, a social media-driven business with more than 200,000 followers. Its owners were not given an explanation at the time.

The business later told their account had been deactivated because of a hacker attack.

A spokeswoman said the event had a detrimental impact on their business.

Instagram has not responded to requests for an explanation from Mr Aston or news.com.au. As for the Southern Highlands Food and Wine Festival, it will be held on September 21 - 22.

Has something like this happened to you? Contact this reporter: Daniel.Piotrowski@news.com.au

The account, before deletion, and after, the explanation @shfoodwine received.
It's quite curious if you ask me. I'm going to have to re-read Instagram's Terms & Conditions and their Privacy Policy because even I don't get why. And no explanation either? Fishy... Very fishy...

Thanks to Daniel Piotrowski of NEWS.COM.AU for this story.

Elon Musk's Hyperloop Gets Taiwanese Animation Treatment

Hoping to snag a ride on Elon Musk's futuristic Hyperloop? Be prepared for a full cavity search and speeds so fast you'll lose your clothes.

At least, that's the rosy outlook of Taiwanese animators Next Media Animation, which this week debuted its take on the billionaire's wild idea for super-fast travel.

Elon Musk's Hyperloop: What Will It Look Like?

After much speculation, entrepreneur Elon Musk, last Monday unveiled his plans for $6 billion, super-fast "Hyperloop."which would ideally be able to transport travellers between Los Angeles and San Francisco in 30 minutes.

Musk laid out a plan that includes a series of tubes, pylons, and passenger capsules that are propelled via air cushions. It's all in the very early planning stages – you might not be able to slide into a Hyperloop capsule for another decade – but you have to start somewhere. To that end, Musk said he will probably craft a demonstration version of the Hyperloop before handing it over to someone else, since he is rather busy with Tesla Motors and SpaceX.

Musk had little over a dozen people from Tesla and SpaceX working on the project as a "background" task; "it wasn't anybody's full-time job," he said. That includes members of the SpaceX and Tesla aero-dynamics team and the Tesla motor group.
They considered a number of approaches, including the pneumatic tubes used to send mail and packages in large buildings. "However, the friction of a 350 mile long column of air moving at anywhere near sonic velocity against the inside of the tube is so stupendously high that this is impossible for all practical purposes," Musk said yesterday.

A vacuum approach, meanwhile, is hard to maintain in a single room, "let alone 700 miles (round trip) of large tube with dozens of station gateways and thousands of pods entering and exiting every day," he said.

As a result, Musk proposed mounting "an electric compressor fan on the nose of the pod that actively transfers high pressure air from the front to the rear of the vessel. This is like having a pump in the head of the syringe actively relieving pressure."

What would this actually look like? In his outline of the project, Musk included a few mock-ups and diagrams. To see what he has in mind, check out this slideshow.

Can Superman beat Super Saiyan God?

Superman
Now Goku's Super Saiyan God. It was said to have fought the evil saiyans but failed due to limited timing. It had to be achieved by gathering six pure heart saiyans and one becomes the saiyan god (Goku). Goku used this form to resisted bills. He even managed to absorb bills supernova like attack but gets knocked out. Now if you ask me, when it comes to endurance, Goku's ssjg is shitty. Don't get me wrong it is strong no doubt but you all fans have forgotten endurance and how long can it last. His only abilities I know are to absorb any energy projection.

YouTube founders launch video-making iPhone app

YouTube founders Chad Hurley and Steve Chen have launched new video app MixBit.

THE co-founders of YouTube have launched a video-making app for iPhones.

MixBit will face off against Vine and Instagram in the video-making market.

Co-founder and CEO Chad Hurley wrote in a blog post launching the app that it would be the first video site to let users collaborate with each other, mixing other users' clips with their own.

"I've always been passionate about video," he said. "It's the most powerful way to express yourself, reach others and bring your ideas to life."

Mr Hurley and Steve Chen founded YouTube, but both left the company a few years ago.

The app is available for free in the Apple App Store, and is yet to be launched for Android.

Yet another reason why Apple is top of their game. Android, Step Up!
