How To Download Youtube Videos Using Google Chrome

UPDATED
So Internet Download Manager (IDM) used to be the best Windows application for downloading anything anywhere on the internet. But recently I noticed that YouTube channels that were using the new YouTube format blocked downloading of their videos with IDM.

Gladly I found a solution today, a procedure that will take you less than 10 minutes and have you downloading your videos immediately...

UPDATE: So with Google stopping the installation of extensions not from the WebStore, SaveFrom.net was disabled.  I'm happy to say I have the new workarond so you can still have your Save From.net extension. Here it is:

Click the link below & Watch the video Or Follow the Steps that follow:

Here's the link for SaveFrom.nethttp://en.savefrom.net/

STEPS TO FOLLOW:

  1. Open Chrome, go to left corner and click " Apps"
  2. Next, click "Web Store"
  3. When it loads, search  for "Tampermonkey
  4. When the results come up, click "Add To Chrome" and install the Tampermonkey extension
  5. When it has installed, open a new tab and search "save from.net" and click the first result. Or go to the link posted above.
  6. After that page loads Click "For users" click "Download"
  7. When the SaveFrom.net file downloads install it and follow the instructions.
  8. ReOpen Chrome, then click Tampermonkey icon on the right and select and add the SaveFrom.net user script
  9. When it is finished, and you go back to that page, it should say reinstall.

That's it! You're good to go!

To check whether it works, open YouTube and load any video. You should have a new option titled Download next to the Subscribe button…

You should also now have a green download arrow on the right side of your browser next to the scroll bar whenever you head to a site where you can download.

The rest is easy; Select type of video file and Download!

Thank you to CHANDRA KUMAR for the new solution!
